Who we are

This policy covers betnook.com, published as BetNook. For any privacy question or request, email webmaster@betnook.com.

What we collect

Server logs. Like any website, betnook.com is delivered by a hosting provider whose servers record basic technical information when a page is requested: your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser's user-agent string. These logs are used to deliver the site, keep it secure and fix faults. They are held by our hosting provider under its own retention rules; we do not use them to build profiles of visitors.

No analytics or advertising. We do not run any analytics, measurement or advertising services on betnook.com, and we do not use any service that follows you across other websites.

Email you send us. If you email webmaster@betnook.com, we receive your email address, your message and anything you attach. We use it only to reply and to act on your request.

We have no accounts, no sign-up forms, no comments and no newsletter, so we collect nothing else. We do not ask for, and you should never send us, payment details or casino login details.

Cookies

BetNook does not set any analytics or advertising cookies. We do not set cookies of our own at all. Our hosting provider may use strictly necessary technical measures to deliver the site securely and protect it from abuse. If that changes, we will update this page before it does.

When you leave our site

When you follow a link to a casino or any other website, you leave betnook.com. The other site's own privacy policy then applies, and it may set its own cookies or collect information about you. Read the operator's privacy policy before you register.

What we never do

We do not build profiles of visitors, combine your information with data from other sources, or sell or rent anything we hold. We do not embed social media buttons, third-party comment systems, advertising networks or video players that load content from other companies. Fonts are served from betnook.com itself, so opening a page does not send a request to a font provider.

When you click a Play button, your browser leaves betnook.com and goes to the casino's site. We do not add your name, email address or any other information about you to that request. What the casino then records is governed by its own privacy policy.

Legal basis and retention

We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) principles: we collect only what we need, for a stated purpose, and keep it no longer than necessary. Emails are kept for as long as needed to deal with your request and any follow-up, and then deleted. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for its standard operational period.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email webmaster@betnook.com with your request. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Security

betnook.com is served only over an encrypted connection. Because we hold no accounts and collect no forms, there is very little personal information for anyone to take from us. Email sent to webmaster@betnook.com is delivered through our email provider and read only by the people who run BetNook; we do not share it, sell it or use it for marketing.

Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal information. We would only disclose it if the law required us to, for example in response to a valid legal order.

Children

BetNook is for adults of legal gambling age: 19+ in most of Canada, and 18+ in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under that age.

Changes

If we change how betnook.com handles personal information, for example by adding a measurement service, we will update this page first and describe the change here. Our terms of use and disclaimer explain the rest of how the site works.
