About BetNook

What BetNook is

BetNook is an independent information site for adults in Canada who are thinking about playing at an online casino or sportsbook. We explain how bonuses, payments, games and provincial rules work, and we list a small number of brands we have checked.

BetNook is not a casino. We do not take bets, we do not hold player funds, and we do not have access to anyone's casino account. When you click a Play button, you leave our site and go to the operator's own site, where its terms apply.

How brands get listed

A brand appears on BetNook only if it passes four checks:

• The link lands on the named brand. We follow the link and record where it ends up. If a link for one brand reaches a different brand, the brand is not listed.
• The operator lists Canada. We look for Canada in the operator's own country list or its own description of its audience.
• We have a real logo from the brand. Logos come from the brands themselves, stored on our own site.
• Any offer line can be quoted from the operator. If we cannot quote the operator's own wording for Canada, we print no offer amount at all.

Brands that fail a check are left out, however well known they are. Some older pages on this site are kept because other websites link to them; they say clearly that the brand is not currently listed: White Lotus Casino, Casino Gods, Casiplay, Rich Casino, Yebo Casino.

What "verified" and "checked 26 September 2026" mean

"Verified" on BetNook means we checked a specific fact ourselves, from the operator's own site or data, on a stated date. "Checked 26 September 2026" is that date. It covers where each Play link landed, the featured brands' country lists and Canadian-dollar pricing, their published welcome offers for Canada, and the Interac entries in their payment policies.

It does not mean we tested the casino, played its games, measured its payouts or checked its standing with every regulator. Where we have not checked something, we say so, usually with a line like "check the cashier" or "see the welcome page".

How a check works in practice

A link check is simple and repeatable. We request each Play link, follow every step until a page finally loads, and record the address of that final page. A brand passes only if that address belongs to the brand named on the button. Some casino groups send visitors from different countries to different sites, so a check tells you where a link landed from where we ran it, on the date we ran it; that is why every check on BetNook carries a date.

For the partner casinos we also read the brand's own public pages: its home page, bonus page, games page, fair-play page, FAQ and terms. Each review's fact file comes from those pages and nowhere else. When a site states something about itself, such as who operates it or how its cashier works, we say that it is the site's statement.

We also compare the brands we list with iGaming Ontario's public list of regulated sites. None of the sites our Play buttons open is on it; several partner brands run separate Ontario editions that are, and those reviews say so.

What happens when a brand fails a check

If a link stops reaching the brand it names, we remove the Play button and the card. If a brand's offer changes so that the line we quote is no longer accurate, we remove or update the quote and change the date. Old review addresses that other websites link to are kept as "not currently listed" pages, so readers find an honest answer rather than an error.

How we make money

We may earn a commission if you sign up through links on this site. That is how BetNook pays for itself. It does not change how we rank or describe brands: the featured placements are labelled as featured, the partner casinos are listed in the order we verified them, and there is no paid position within the partner group. A commission never buys a claim we have not checked.

What we never print

• Amounts, percentages or free-spin counts we have not verified.
• Licence numbers.
• Claims that a brand is registered in Ontario, unless we have verified it. So far we have not verified any.
• Game counts, return-to-player figures, payout times or launch dates.
• Star ratings or scores, because we have no comparative test data behind them.

Age and responsibility

BetNook is for adults: 19+ in most of Canada, and 18+ in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec. Gambling involves risk. If it stops being fun, our responsible gambling page lists free support in every province.
